Unfortunately this is not Frankfurt Motor Show but a very special custom built Audi Q5.
The 2009 Worthersee Tour is Austria’s now legendary GTI meet where thousands of enthusiasts come from all over to enjoy what’s on store.
This year the ‘Audi Customising Club’ went to a special effort to make a special Audi Q5 to celebrate 100 years of Audi. Taking over 3,000 square metres of the event Audi dominated, showcasing their finest vehicles.
The celebrations included a guide through the history of Audi’s 100 years, showcasing some historic models from various decades, the Ingolstadt carmaker will feature showcase vehicles such as the Audi TT RS, the Audi R8 5.2 FSI quattro and the Audi A1 Sportback.
The timeline guided visitors through to a line up of their current range with the custom built Audi Q5 taking centre stage. Built by Audi engineers this model had a custom engine and custom paint job to match, especially for the event.
The special model was sat on 21-inch wheels of 7 twin-spoke design, and features a 90 millimetre wider track and a 60 millimetre lower ride height compared to the standard Q5. The power unit they put in their has been earmarked for the new S4, S5 Cabriolet and A6.
Weighing in at 408 PS this powerunit allows the Q5 to go from o – 62 mph in just 4.4 seconds. Needless to say it attracted some attention amongst the crowds.

There are many practical reasons to leasing a car rather than buying one. Car leasing offers lower monthly payments, lower initial deposit, road tax and breakdown recovery. You also have the opportunity to drive a new car every two or three years and all vehicles include the standard manufacturer’s warranty.
Our leasing deals are powered by Nationwide Vehicle Contracts.
