Aston Martin’s Design Director is to race the Vantage GT4 at the Aston Martin GT4 Challenge of Great Britain next weekend.
Marek Reichman joined Aston Martin as Design Director in May 2005 and will get behind the wheel of the Vantage GT4 with colleague Chris Porritt at Oulton Park next Saturday (21st August).
The Aston Martin GT4 Challenge is an exclusive race for owners of the Vantage GT4 and Vantage N24 and is between 90 – 150 minutes in length. Drivers take part in practice, qualifying laps and the main race all in the same day. The event is an opportunity for Vantage owners to compete with rival Aston Martin fans.
Speaking ahead of the race, Marek said: “The design team has been closely involved in the design of all our race cars, from the works LMP1 prototype to the Vantage GT4, but I’ve always longed to get even more closely involved and the Aston Martin GT4 Challenge provides the perfect introduction to GT4 racing for me.”
The Aston Martin Vantage GT4 is a production-based race car and already boasts a number of race wins in Dubai, Nürburgring and Spa 24 Hours.

There are many practical reasons to leasing a car rather than buying one. Car leasing offers lower monthly payments, lower initial deposit, road tax and breakdown recovery. You also have the opportunity to drive a new car every two or three years and all vehicles include the standard manufacturer’s warranty.
Our leasing deals are powered by Nationwide Vehicle Contracts.
