The new Ford Fiesta steals the show at the Los Angeles Motor Show as America looks to downsize.
Normally at a motorshow the ‘belle of the ball’ is one of the most expensive, elaborately built masterpieces and is out of reach from the normal public, but not in L.A.
The new Ford Fiesta has drawn in the crowds at this years show like one of the big guns. As the covers came off the American crowds gasped and applauded the latest model.
The L.A show was host to some special edition models such as the one from the German aftermarker specialist H&R. Modelled on the classic RS design seen in the Ford Focus this Fiesta gets sporty looking bonnet vents, lowered suspension, unique alloy wheels and an eye catching rear spoiler.
A spokesman from Ford said that they would have access to parts allowing the American buyers to customise their cars just like they were shown at the show. Quizzing Ford even further revealed there are currently no plans to do an official RS edition.
The British best seller will be built in Mexico for the US market and will go on sale in 2010.

There are many practical reasons to leasing a car rather than buying one. Car leasing offers lower monthly payments, lower initial deposit, road tax and breakdown recovery. You also have the opportunity to drive a new car every two or three years and all vehicles include the standard manufacturer’s warranty.
Our leasing deals are powered by Nationwide Vehicle Contracts.
