Ford were treated to three bits of good news this week regarding three of their best sellers.
FIRST of all, the much awaited Ford Focus RS has been confirmed as the most powerful front-wheel drive production car in the UK. Not surprising really considering it boasts a 301 bhp, 2.5 litre turbo charged engine.
Able to achieve 0 – 62 mph in just 5.9 seconds it has a top speed of 163 mph which should satisfy the RS faithful.
On a more eco-friendly note the Ford Fiesta ECOnetic has been awarded Britain’s Cleanest New Car by cleangreencars.co.uk. It will get 76.3 mpg and emit only 98 g/km of CO2. It got this figure by modifying the aerodynamics, reducing rolling resistance and improving the suspension to name just a few enhancements.
Priced at £12,445 and £12,945 for the three and five-door respectively this 1.6-litre engine is nothing to be snubbed at.
And finally, The new Ford Ka has been given the lowest possible insurance rating. The entry level Studio model is ranked as 1E reflecting the range of safety features available on the Ka, including reinforced door beams and shielded locks.
It has also been given an exceptional residual value by the industry data provider CAP. This means that it will hold its value well allowing a good sell on price. It also means that the Ford Ka will be available to lease for an incredibly low price.

There are many practical reasons to leasing a car rather than buying one. Car leasing offers lower monthly payments, lower initial deposit, road tax and breakdown recovery. You also have the opportunity to drive a new car every two or three years and all vehicles include the standard manufacturer’s warranty.
Our leasing deals are powered by Nationwide Vehicle Contracts.
