Following in Toyota’s footsteps, Japanese automaker Honda have issued a recall of one of its biggest selling models – the Honda Jazz.
Honda has announced that all Jazz models sold between 2002 and 2008 must go back to Honda dealers for a checkup.
Concerns relate to the possibility of the electric window mechanism catching fire. More than 170,000 Jazz models in the UK are affected and nearly 650,000 world wide.
During the recall, Honda dealers will be required to fit a waterproof cover to the electric mechanism to protect against the risk of water leaking in and causing a short circuit.
The Jazz is Honda’s best selling car in the UK. The latest recall will come as a big blow to the Japanese car maker as the Jazz has earned a reputation for reliability and customer satisfaction.

There are many practical reasons to leasing a car rather than buying one. Car leasing offers lower monthly payments, lower initial deposit, road tax and breakdown recovery. You also have the opportunity to drive a new car every two or three years and all vehicles include the standard manufacturer’s warranty.
Our leasing deals are powered by Nationwide Vehicle Contracts.
