After weeks of work on the new museum, aspects are beginning to come together. This week they finished decoration of the second floor of the exhibition in Stuttgart.
The futuristic museum is an iconic building and when finished will be a landmark of Stuttgart and German architecture.
The first twelve exhibitions can now be installed in the museum and at the end of the week 80 classic Porsche vehicles will be moved from special storage into the museum.
Among the collection of special vehicles includes a 356 Cabriolet, an original '11' model and the first prototype of the 924.
"In the last few weeks, we have comprehensively restored all the vehicles and polished them up for their use in the museum," explains Klaus Bischof, head of the 'Rolling Museum'
As well as the vehicles, the smaller exhibitions and show cabinets can be installed. After that the lighting and final touches will be made.
The museum is called the rolling museum firstly because of the subject but also the nature of the exhibitions. Most of the displays will be constantly changing as they are sent out and retrieved from other exhibitions around the world.
As a result visitors will be able to see completely new and dynamically changing exhibitions each ime they visit.

There are many practical reasons to leasing a car rather than buying one. Car leasing offers lower monthly payments, lower initial deposit, road tax and breakdown recovery. You also have the opportunity to drive a new car every two or three years and all vehicles include the standard manufacturer’s warranty.
Our leasing deals are powered by Nationwide Vehicle Contracts.
