The new Vauxhall Insignia has been voted Europe’s most popular new car on internet poll.
The Vauxhall Insignia has already picked up prestigious awards from the motor industry such as European Car of the Year 2009 where the result was decided by industry officials.
This latest addition to the trophy cabinet shows exactly how popular the Insignia is with everyday people and not just industry officials. AutoScout24 is an online magazine in Europe that on an annual basis holds an online poll of the continents favourite cars in their Internet Auto Awards 2009.
Placed in the category for ‘Europe’s Most Popular Car’ the Insignia took the majority of the public’s votes clearly taking the title.
Carl-Peter Forster, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Adam Opel GmbH, accepted the trophy known as the “Carolina” at the official awards ceremony in Munich.
“This new award for the Insignia proves that our blend is right: sporty, elegant design combined with innovative technology. The new Opel philosophy also resonates with the customer. We have already sold over 150,000 Insignia throughout Europe.”

There are many practical reasons to leasing a car rather than buying one. Car leasing offers lower monthly payments, lower initial deposit, road tax and breakdown recovery. You also have the opportunity to drive a new car every two or three years and all vehicles include the standard manufacturer’s warranty.
Our leasing deals are powered by Nationwide Vehicle Contracts.
