
Ford has released the full pricing and specification details of the new-look 2011 Ford Mondeo
The new 2011 Ford Mondeo boasts a fresh new exterior style along with a new engine range including a new 240PS Ford EcoBoost turbo petrol engine. The latest generation Mondeo is expected to hit UK showrooms in October with prices starting from £18,995.
Revamped Style:
The new generation Ford Mondeo features a revamped exterior style including redesigned front and rear body coloured bumpers, new door mirrors with side repeaters, new front LED daytime running lights and re-designed rear lights.
The interior of the new Mondeo has also been upgraded to offer greater comfort and facilities for driver and passengers. Standard features on the new model include stereo CD/radio, Bluetooth voice control system, air conditioning, cruise control, remote central locking and new 2-way power driver’s seat.
New Engine Range:
The 2011 Ford Mondeo will feature a new high-efficiency petrol and diesel engine range including a new 240PS Ford EcoBoost turbo petrol engine. The new high-performance 2.0L EcoBoost engine boasts a whopping 237hp. In addition to the new petrol engine, the Mondeo will also see the intro of the upgraded 2.2 Ford Duratorq TDCi diesel engine, which now produces 197hp.
New Technology:
A host of new driver comfort and convenience features have been added in the new 2011 Mondeo including Ford’s Lane Departure Warning Driver Alert and Auto High Beam system first seen on the Ford Galaxy and Ford S-MAX earlier this year. New technology to also feature in the popular hatchback includes Blind Spot Information System, Speed Limiter and Rear View Camera system.
Trim Grades:
The new Ford Mondeo is available in four trim levels (EDGE, ZETEC, TITANIUM & TITANIUM X) and two special edition models (EDGE+ and TITANIUM+).
The entry level EDGE trim includes Bluetooth, air conditioning, cruise control, Quickclear heated front windscreen, leather steering wheel and new power front and rear windows.
The top-of-the-range TITANIUM X trim includes Alcantara leather trim, adaptive front lighting, front and rear parking sensors, climate seats and rear seat centre armrest with cup holders and stowage.
Pricing:
Prices for the new 2011 Ford Mondeo start from £18,995 for the Edge model, rising to £27,645 for the TITANIUM X Sport.
Production of the new 2011 Ford Mondeo will take place from 6th September with deliveries expected to commence in October.
