2011 Nissan Qashqai Spec Update

Nissan has announced further specification details on the new 2011 Nissan Qashqai.

The new 2011 Nissan Qashqai boasts enhanced engine performance, improved CO2 emissions, the introduction of Nissan’s Stop/Start System and further N-TEC trim details.

Enhanced Engine Performance:

A number of engine improvements have been made to the MY11 Nissan Qashqai, with all powertrains switching to Euro 5 emission status.

The 1.6 petrol engine gains a performance increase of 2hp to 117hp and a torque increase of +2Nm to 158Nm. All 1.5dCi engines will also feature diesel particulate filter (DPF) fitted as standard and will receive a power increase of +4PS to 110PS.

Nissan Stop/Start System:

All 1.6 petrol engines on the 2011 Nissan Qashqai will see the introduction of Nissan’s new Stop/Start System, initially advertised as Idle Stop. The Stop/Start System reduces CO2 emissions by up to 6% and is expected to available on MY11 models from November 2010.

Improved CO2 & Fuel Consumption:

The Euro 5 compliant engines in the 2011 Nissan Qashqai boast improvements in CO2 emissions and fuel consumption. The new model produces CO2 emissions of just 144g/km, a reduction of 11g/km from 155g/km, placing the crossover in band E. The new generation Qashqai also boasts improved an fuel consumption of 2.3mpg to 47.9mpg combined.

Specification Changes:

Further details have been announced for popular N-TEC trim. The 2011 N-TEC model boasts 18’’ black and silver finish alloy wheels and the next generation Nissan Connect (version 1.5) fitted as standard. An optional Chrome pack is also available for £250.

Changes have been made to the Acenta grade which was originally advertised with a 6-CD auto-changer but will now feature a new audio system including single CD player with USB connectivity and iPod interface.

A new Gun Metallic body colour will also be introduced, replacing the Faded Denim option which will discontinue in September.

Production on the new 2011 Nissan Qashqai starts in September with sales starting in October. ICING

Car Leasing vs Buying

Car Leasing Video DemoThere are many practical reasons to leasing a car rather than buying one. Car leasing offers lower monthly payments, lower initial deposit, road tax and breakdown recovery. You also have the opportunity to drive a new car every two or three years and all vehicles include the standard manufacturer’s warranty.

Our leasing deals are powered by Nationwide Vehicle Contracts.
