BMW announces the new edition to the 5 Series bridging the gaps between to sectors.
Within the BMW catalogue you will find 19 distinct model shapes with this one sitting somewhere between the spacious 7 Series and the functional 5 Series Touring.
Based on the 5 Series design it features a longer wheel base giving more legroom than any other BMW and the headroom of an X5. The size increase also translates in the boot giving 440 litres more boot space taking it up to 1,700 litres; again comparable with that of the X5.
The BMW 5 Series Gran Turismo comes in a four or five seater dpending on the configuration you require and also comes with an optional tailgate. Depending on your needs the owner can choose between two boot opening specifications. Despite having all this room they do not compromise on style and the quality of drive.
The familiar BMW kidney grilles and large air intakes hint at the car’s ability, whilst the roof shape gives a feel of a coupe. Following customer requests they have asked for a more visible, protected driving position more a kin to the larger vehicles of the X5 or 7 Series.
Responding to this the driver and passengers will feel more secure in the positioning of the seats. Inside it is needless to say that the highest standards are maintained with new integrated technology used for the first time.
Like BMW say, the customers have requested it and so there should be a demand. People are reluctant to be labeled in a Chelsea Tractor but want that feeling of security and space big cars provide. BMW may have cleverly disguised a big car as a little one which could fool friends of the earth into thinking you’ve not picked a gas guzzler.

There are many practical reasons to leasing a car rather than buying one. Car leasing offers lower monthly payments, lower initial deposit, road tax and breakdown recovery. You also have the opportunity to drive a new car every two or three years and all vehicles include the standard manufacturer’s warranty.
Our leasing deals are powered by Nationwide Vehicle Contracts.
