BMW X1 & Z4 Model Updates

BMW X1 & Z4 Model Updates

BMW have announced a number of model updates for the popular X1 and Z4.

From September, the popular X1 will get a brand new gearbox and the Z4 will benefit from an exclusive new design package.

Along with the X1 and Z4, the BMW 1 Series and BMW 3 Series will also receive a range of new equipment options including DAB radio fitted as standard.

New gearbox for BMW X1 xDrive23d:

The top-of-the-range BMW X1 xDrive23d will receive a brand new six-speed manual transmission, making the crossover compact SUV even more efficient than before.

The original six-speed automatic transmission will still remain available as an option, along with power output and torque remaining at 204 hp and 400Nm respectively.

The new six-speed manual gearbox boasts lower CO2 emissions of just 158 g/km whilst the six-speed automatic transmission produces 167 g/km. Average fuel consumption of a manual transmission equipped BMW X1 xDrive23d is 47.1 mpg.

New Design Pure Impulse Package for BMW Z4:

A new and exclusive Design Pure Impulse package has been developed for the charismatic and sporty BMW Z4 Roadster.

The new Design Pure Impulse includes black Alcantara/Nappa leather sport seats with yellow colour accents, black Alcantara surface décor with yellow stitching and high-grade BMW Individual interior trim strips in piano Black.

A new Atacama Yellow paint is also available exclusively for the Design Pure Impulse package. Prices for the package start from £540 rising to £2,200 depending on the model chosen.

New Equipment Options:

A number of enhanced entertainment and communication features will be added to the optional equipment range for the BMW 1 Series, 3 Series, X1 and Z4 from September.

The Comfort Access Function with illuminated entry system and lighted exterior door handles will now be available on all these models. DAB+ radio will also be available as standard.

Car Leasing vs Buying

Car Leasing Video DemoThere are many practical reasons to leasing a car rather than buying one. Car leasing offers lower monthly payments, lower initial deposit, road tax and breakdown recovery. You also have the opportunity to drive a new car every two or three years and all vehicles include the standard manufacturer’s warranty.

Our leasing deals are powered by Nationwide Vehicle Contracts.
