Motorists wanting a Mercedes-Benz C-Class with a little extra power might be interested to hear that you can now take advantage of an optional extra that will bring the vehicle close to the speed of a Mercedes-Benz DTM car.
Available to be added to the Mercedes-Benz C 63 AMG, the Performance Package Plus will allow the car to accelerate to 62 miles per hour from still in 4.4 seconds.
Meanwhile, the vehicle will be able to dash from zero to 124 miles per hour in 13.9 seconds, which is over a second faster than the standard model.
Behind this speed burst are some minor changes to the modified engine compartment of the car’s AMG 6.3-litre V8 unit.
Three kilograms in weight have been removed from the compartment thanks to the use of a lightweight crankshaft, while reduced inertia enhances the ability and responsiveness of the engine.
Overall, the Mercedes-Benz C 63 AMG has an electronically-limited top speed of 155 miles per hour, with the vehicle being one of the most popular in the Mercedes-AMG model range.
In 2008, 8,100 units of the high-performance car were delivered worldwide.

There are many practical reasons to leasing a car rather than buying one. Car leasing offers lower monthly payments, lower initial deposit, road tax and breakdown recovery. You also have the opportunity to drive a new car every two or three years and all vehicles include the standard manufacturer’s warranty.
Our leasing deals are powered by Nationwide Vehicle Contracts.
