Ford have given the Mondeo an eco-friendly update with a new EcoBoost petrol engine and improved Duratorq TDCi for diesels. New twin-clutch Power Shift transmission is also available.
The Ford Mondeo, along with the Ford Galaxy and the Ford S-Max, is spearheading the European introduction of Ford’s global EcoBoost petrol engine technology. The 2.0 litre EcoBoost will bring new levels of fuel efficiency to petrol units in this power range with its advanced combustion system. The engine features lightweight all-aluminium construction and latest-generation high-pressure direct-injection system, and will be able to do 0-62mph in 7.9 seconds.
The EcoBoost engine reduces the CO2 emissions of the previous Ford Mondeo by 19%, as well as delivering 25% more power. A combined fuel economy of 36.6mpg leads to an impressive average CO2 emission of just 179g/km.
And for Diesels, the Duratorq TDCi has been revamped to meet the new Euro V emissions standards. It is available in 114bhp, 138bhp and 161bhp outputs.
These improvements mean that, as well as being one of the UK’s favourite family cars, the new Mondeo now offers a green option with improved fuel economy and lower emissions.

There are many practical reasons to leasing a car rather than buying one. Car leasing offers lower monthly payments, lower initial deposit, road tax and breakdown recovery. You also have the opportunity to drive a new car every two or three years and all vehicles include the standard manufacturer’s warranty.
Our leasing deals are powered by Nationwide Vehicle Contracts.
