Following the success of the 3.0L XFR model in 2009, Jaguar is updating the highly successful XF range for 2010 / 2011.
Changes to the XF Diesel S model and the entry-level XF Sports Saloon include improved driving dynamics, a more striking exterior design and upgraded interior.
New XF Diesel S:
The new MY11 Diesel S model will feature a XFR style interior with subtle modifications to make the Diesel S look more aggressive and sporty. The new, upgraded cabin features leather sports seats featuring 18-way adjustment for the driver and 14-way for the passenger, power-adjusted raised side bolsters and high-gloss Piano Black veneer and Jet Suedecloth available as an option on the Premium Luxury and Portfolio Diesel S models. There’s also a new choice of exterior colours including a trendy ‘Polaris White’ and optional Red Brake Callipers.
The engine in the Diesel S produces a mighty 273 bhp, 42mpg and manages 0-60mph in 5.9 seconds. The Adaptive Dynamics system, currently featured on the XFR and XK range, is also available as an option on the high-performance diesel.
Two new options packs include the Aerodynamic Pack and Dynamics Pack.
The Aerodynamic pack is designed to give an even bolder style to the XF Diesel S and includes black mesh inserts for the grille and lower air intakes, sculpted lower air intake blades, optional LED running lights and the side sills originally seem on the XFR. The cost of this option pack is £1500, or £2000 with the LED lights.
The Dynamics pack incorporates Jaguar’s Active Dynamics system which analyses chassis movement and driver and wheel input – up to 500 times a second – and continually adjusts the suspension to improve handling without loss of comfort. This clever system improves the XF’s already impressive handling and combines a luxury ride with sports car agility. The Dynamics pack also includes Shadow or Silver finish 20-inch Volans five-spoke alloy wheels and costs from £1250 depending on model.
XF Sports Saloon:
Changes to the entry level XF 3.0 V6 petrol Luxury Saloon for 2010 include a reduced OTR price of just £29,900. The luxury saloon still comes with a good standard spec including Bond Grain leather seats, Phosphor Blue interior mood lighting, seven-inch full colour touch-screen display with Navigation and Bluetooth technology, six-speed automatic transmission with Jaguar Sequential ShiftTM and Jaguar Sense and Jaguar Smart Key SystemTM with Keyless Start.
The new Luxury model also comes in a selection of 13 colours and has five different alloy wheel designs to choose from.
Geoff Cousins, Managing Director, Jaguar UK said: “With more than 19,000 XFs now on the road in the UK the momentum continues and we have celebrated winning more than 60 international awards for XF since it launched in 2008.
“While our class-leading diesel engine is by far the most popular engine in the range, we would like to appeal to low mileage drivers who do not necessarily want or need to drive a diesel. By reducing the entry price for the XF range to less than £30,000 for the 3.0-litre petrol model, we have made our four door saloon even better value for money.”
Prices for the new FX range start from £29,900 for the 3.0-litre petrol model, £38,475 for the Diesel S model and £62,055 for the top-of-the-range XFR.

There are many practical reasons to leasing a car rather than buying one. Car leasing offers lower monthly payments, lower initial deposit, road tax and breakdown recovery. You also have the opportunity to drive a new car every two or three years and all vehicles include the standard manufacturer’s warranty.
Our leasing deals are powered by Nationwide Vehicle Contracts.
