Kia Cee’d Facelift

Kia get the Cee’d looking its best just in time for the Frankfurt International Motor Show.

Come September when the glory of summer is dying Kia will release a new updated Cee’d model.

Known as a good solid car the Kia Cee’d hasn’t in the past won many prizes for its dashing looks, particularly in the smart, sexy hatchback market.

The plastic surgeons came out and sorted out some key features giving the car more zest and a breath of new life. Kia have updates include a new blacked-out grille, revised bumpers, bonnet and light clusters.

The interior will get a smarter more fresh-looking trim level with increased Bluetooth connectivity and smarter new console display.

Some people are also making some assumptions that Kia might be releasing a new hybrid version of the Cee’d. In their home market of South Korea, Kia have already released a small petrol-hybrid called the Kia Forte. Our detective skills indicate that this is built on the same platform as the Cee’d so could easily be dropped into our European version.

Keep your eyes on this one and we'll see'd what happens (oh dear, sorry!).
