After months of eager anticipation Kia release the Sorento 4x4 at their home motor show.
The Seoul Motor Show is always a technological affair with home brands Kia and Hyundai pulling out all the stops.
This year Kia have waited until they came home to drop the new Sorento, which is longer, lower and has more room than the previous model. Now with 15% more cargo space than before it can also seat up to eight.
One of the reasons behind this new change is due to a new chassis set-up. In addition this new frame should allow a better, more comfortable drive.
Regarding the technology, it has keyless entry, engine start button, reversing safety camera and built-in sat nav. It also features seductive mood lighting in the door and on the meter panel.
It currently comes in a range of four engines, three petrol’s and one diesel. The diesel is a 2.2-litre and generated 195 bhp and emits 173 g/km CO2.
The Sorento is expected to be sold in 2010 and will likely be priced in and around the £20,000 mark.

There are many practical reasons to leasing a car rather than buying one. Car leasing offers lower monthly payments, lower initial deposit, road tax and breakdown recovery. You also have the opportunity to drive a new car every two or three years and all vehicles include the standard manufacturer’s warranty.
Our leasing deals are powered by Nationwide Vehicle Contracts.
