March will see the arrival of the new MINIMALISM Line giving more output, more efficiency and a revised range of petrol engines for the 2010 MINI, MINI Clubman and MINI Convertible.
The new MINIMALISM concept covers all things technological in the current MINI line-up to help keep fuel economy and CO2 emissions low – but without compromising on the driving fun that’s typical of the MINI brand.
All of the petrol MINI models will meet the EU5 exhaust emissions standards and measures such as reducing friction and improving heat management have enabled further improvements in efficiency. The MINIMALISM line will also see engines now served by a map-controlled oil pump with need-based operation, which – in a similar way to the electromechanical power steering and further optimised coolant pump – ensures extremely efficient use of energy.
Modifications have been made on the MINI, MINI Clubman and MINI Convertible with the MINI Cooper S model being particularly impressive. Its new 1.6-litre four-cylinder engine produces 135 kW/184 hp (an increase of 7 kW on the old model) yet emits only 136 grams of CO2 per kilometre – 13 g/km less than its predecessor.
March 2010 will also see a fresh addition to the model range with the new MINI One Convertible. Powered by a low-fuel consumption and low-emissions four-cylinder engine producing 72 kW/98 hp, the new model offers an excellent economy with soft-top style.

There are many practical reasons to leasing a car rather than buying one. Car leasing offers lower monthly payments, lower initial deposit, road tax and breakdown recovery. You also have the opportunity to drive a new car every two or three years and all vehicles include the standard manufacturer’s warranty.
Our leasing deals are powered by Nationwide Vehicle Contracts.
