Nissan have announced the release of the new light-commercial vehicle the NV200 Vanette.
The Vanette is a small, compact, light commercial vehicle that is more suited to everyday use than most. They have billed it as a commercial vehicle with car-like refinement and sophistication.
Despite the expected wear and tear of a commercial vehicle the specifications for this model make it stand out amongst the rest.
The NV200 Vanette is powered by a 1.6-litre HR16DE engine which achieves outstanding economical figures. The figures suggest that it will do 14 km/l, which equates to around 40 mpg and reduces tax costs on this kind of vehicle.
In addition to the two-seater version, the NV200 Vanette is also offered in a five-seater version with two rows of seats, and the new seven-seater wagon, which is capable of being used for both commercial and private purposes. The second- and third-row seats in the wagon fold up to create a large cargo space suitable for multipurpose use.
In the rear of the Vanette the high roofline and low, flat cargo floor help to create class-leading cargo capacity. Spaces created under the drivers seat makes it capable of transporting items up to 3m long.
Driving is a peaceful experience like you would expect in a modern car. Nissan have fitted the engine on pendulum mounts added and an anti-vibration subframe to achieve quietness equal to that of passenger cars – from idling to city driving and high-speed cruising.
Following its debut in Japan, the NV200 Vanette will be launched in the UK later this year. Expect to hear more on pricing and specifications around autumn time.

There are many practical reasons to leasing a car rather than buying one. Car leasing offers lower monthly payments, lower initial deposit, road tax and breakdown recovery. You also have the opportunity to drive a new car every two or three years and all vehicles include the standard manufacturer’s warranty.
Our leasing deals are powered by Nationwide Vehicle Contracts.
