Toyota has announced that its popular RAV4 model will receive a facelift for 2010.
The new 2010 model boasts a redesigned front-end which not only looks good, but is also more aerodynamically efficient. Subtle enhancements have also been made to the interior with new leather and Alcantara upholstery now being offered.
The latest generation RAV4 - which was unveiled this week at the Geneva Motor Show – boasts the new Toyota ‘family face’ as seen on the latest Avensis, Verso and Auris models. A wider front grille has been added and new headlights with projector-type low beam lamps complete the new RAV4’s contemporary look.
The RAV4’s wide track and dynamic appearance has been enhanced by a new flowing bonnet design and new full-width front bumper. Further chrome detailing around the foglamps and bonnet moulding also add an extra dash of premium appeal to the popular SUV.
Inside, subtle enhancements have been made to the cabin to emphasise the high quality finish. A new leather and Alcantara upholstery will now also be available on the 2010 model.
In the UK the 2010 RAV4 will carry forward its Toyota Optimal Drive powertrains with the 2.0-litre Valvematic petrol and the 2.2 D-4D and D-CAT diesel engines. Six-speed manual, Mutridrive S (Toyota’s advanced continuously variable transmission) and the six-speed automatic transmission will also still be available.
The new Toyota RAV4 will be on sale in the UK in the spring. Further details about the model range will be announced nearer the on-sale date.

There are many practical reasons to leasing a car rather than buying one. Car leasing offers lower monthly payments, lower initial deposit, road tax and breakdown recovery. You also have the opportunity to drive a new car every two or three years and all vehicles include the standard manufacturer’s warranty.
Our leasing deals are powered by Nationwide Vehicle Contracts.
