This new hatchback from Seat is possibly their hottest hatchback to date.
Recently unveiled at the Frankfurt International Motor Show the new Seat Leon Cupra R is a seriously mouth-watering new hatchback.
They have kept the exterior styling very much the same as the existing Leon Cupra but added stunning new 19” alloy wheels with ‘R’ badging on the front grille and rear bumper.
Inside the Leon dashboard also gets a little reminder of the racing quality with the ‘R’ badge there as well. The instruments are lit up with LEDs and the sports seat are upholstered in grey Alcantara.
The big change goes on under the bonnet with the Cupra R getting a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine.
Just like some of it closest rivals like the Audi S3 and Volkswagen Golf R, the Leon Cupra R has been boosted to a massive 261 bhp. From a standstill this will reach 62 mph in just 6.1 seconds and go to a limited speed of 155 mph.
It is still going to retain its front wheel drive set up unlike the afore mentioned Audi and Volkswagen counterparts, however it will be priced below both of these.
