Subaru release a new concept that finally brings them up to speed with the rest of the world.
Every manufacturer under the sun has been developing more efficient technologies to reduce CO2 emissions except Subaru who, some have said, were dragging their feet. They have also failed to get out of the 90’s and many of the looks have also failed to wow buyers like they used to.
Now Subaru have addressed both these issues with a new concept car hey are unveiling.
Firstly on looks they have smashed together ideas from Italian designs such as the Brera behind with a German designed front end. The nose is part of the new Subaru look which we will be seeing on many new Subaru’s in various forms for he next few years.
When imagination is running low and you need an ‘eco’ car what is the easies thing to do? Bolt on an electric engine and call it a hybrid. One eco-car, done! Inside the car still has a punchy 2.0-litre, turbocharged engine that will take some juice to keep running.
The front wheels are driven by a 10kW electric motor while at the back the rear wheels are powered by a 20kW motor whilst running a low speeds.
Overall it’s not that bad. A great start on the eco trail and one to add to the emissions portfolio whilst he looks are actually quite appealing in the glitz and glamour of a motor show.

There are many practical reasons to leasing a car rather than buying one. Car leasing offers lower monthly payments, lower initial deposit, road tax and breakdown recovery. You also have the opportunity to drive a new car every two or three years and all vehicles include the standard manufacturer’s warranty.
Our leasing deals are powered by Nationwide Vehicle Contracts.
