Audi release a new SUV which is the smallest the German company have ever built, the Audi Q3.
The motor world is shrinking in more ways than one at the moment. Order books are shrinking and now so are the cars.
Petrol prices forced many to reconsider their large SUVs but people still wanted a certain amount of versatility in their vehicles. BMW developed the idea with the X6 but then recently reduced its size in the form of the X1, which was unveiled in Paris last year.
BMW subsidiary company Mini, are also planning to release their own version called the Mini Crossman. Back in 2007 Audi were also working on something along these lines and released a series of concepts called the Cross Coupe Concept.
The new design follows on very much from these ideas, which will probably come in three and five door variants. The shape is much like that of the A3 and will probably share the same platform as this hatchback with engines probably also being supplied.
Audi have announced that they will be investing around $390 million into their SEAT site in Martorell Spain and plan to build around 80,000 a year. Production is set to begin in 2011.

There are many practical reasons to leasing a car rather than buying one. Car leasing offers lower monthly payments, lower initial deposit, road tax and breakdown recovery. You also have the opportunity to drive a new car every two or three years and all vehicles include the standard manufacturer’s warranty.
Our leasing deals are powered by Nationwide Vehicle Contracts.
