Citroen have made the popular C5 saloon even greener thanks to subtle enhancements to its engine range.
The 1.6HDi 110hp engine has been revised to improve fuel efficiency, lower CO2 emissions and to allow customers to take advantage of free first year VED.
The new improvements affect the whole C5 range including the Saloon and Tourer that are powered by the HDi 110hp engine. Fuel economy has been improved to 56.5mpg - an increase of that 6% on the existing model – and CO2 emissions have been slashed by 10g/km from 140g to 130g.
The new changes bring the Citroen C5 into the new VED Band D, qualifying for free road tax in the first year. Company car drivers also benefit thanks to a 1-point reduction in BIK taxation rates which are now down to 18%.

There are many practical reasons to leasing a car rather than buying one. Car leasing offers lower monthly payments, lower initial deposit, road tax and breakdown recovery. You also have the opportunity to drive a new car every two or three years and all vehicles include the standard manufacturer’s warranty.
Our leasing deals are powered by Nationwide Vehicle Contracts.
