Audi are fanning the flames on rumours of a new electrically powered Audi R8.
People are talking about a possibility of Audi dipping into the electric supercar market if for nothing but a concept idea.
The rumour is that there may be an Audi R8 version powered by an electric motor. Rumours began to spread like wildfire when Audi launched a microsite on their web page called Electricity Untamed.
The site counts down the days until the Frankfurt Motor Show and features a series of facts about electricity.
It has done what it intended and got a number of press outlets to speculate about the meaning stirring up interest in the show.
Visit the site and make your own mind up.

There are many practical reasons to leasing a car rather than buying one. Car leasing offers lower monthly payments, lower initial deposit, road tax and breakdown recovery. You also have the opportunity to drive a new car every two or three years and all vehicles include the standard manufacturer’s warranty.
Our leasing deals are powered by Nationwide Vehicle Contracts.
