
Reports suggest that Toyota may be making the Yaris a new target for heir hybrid technology.
Japanese newspapers are suggesting that the company are considering applying their expertise in hybrid technology to the Toyota Yaris.
The battle ground is fierce in the hybrid world with superpowers Toyota and Honda fighting it out. One undercutting the other releasing new models to fill the newly created demand.
Honda recently announced that it is considering the Honda Jazz as a target for hybrid drive so following suit Toyota release murmurs of thier interest in the Yaris model.
They're already set to release the Auris hybrid next year and hinted that the Yaris could not be far behind.
Although small and using a hybrid engine, people suggest that it might not completely dominate the market on fuel efficiency with eco-friendly models such as the Volkswagen Polo BlueMotion offering comparable competiton.
