Car manufacturer Nissan released details on the new Nissan 350Z coupe in 2002 with the car going on sale worldwide in 2003. The new 350Z is a reminder of Nissan’s heritage in the sports coupe market harking back to the Datsun 240Z which was sold throughout the 1970’s.
Face lifted in 2007 the latest version delivers the exhilaration of a real sports car accelerating from 0 to 62 mph in 5 and a bit seconds. The Nissan 350Z grips the road with superior aerodynamics and has assured confident handling through corners. Developing 313 bhp the award winning normally aspirated all alloy double overhead cam. Four valves per cylinder in theV6 engine provide powerful acceleration at any engine speed thanks to its flat torque character. An intake system further improves volumetric efficiency which combined with a state of the art exhaust manifold and variable valve timing to give engine that delivers pure exhilaration.
The 350Z’s competitors in the mid price sports car sector include the BMW Z4, Audi TT and Porsche Cayman.
