The Nissan Juke is a compact SUV due for release in the UK in October 2010. The Juke is Nissan’s fourth crossover vehicle, following on from the successful Murano, Qashqai and Qashqai+2 models. Its main rivals include the Mitsubishi ASX, Nissan Qashqai and Toyota RAV4.
The new Nissan Juke boasts a combination of SUV toughness and sporting style. Its large chunky wheels, wide tyres and extended ground clearance give it an imposing presence whilst its high waistline, slim visor-like side glass graphics and a coupé-style falling roofline give a sports car feel.
Inside the new Nissan Juke, the sports car theme continues with a driver-focused cabin dominated by a centre console design finished in a distinctive high gloss colour. The Juke also boasts practability thanks to its rear-opening hatch and versatile luggage area with hidden storage pockets.
Three new engines are available including one diesel and two 1.6-litre petrol units, all fully Euro 5 compliant. The top of the range is a new turbo-charged petrol engine (MR16DDT) with direct injection is the most powerful in its class, developing 140kW (190PS) and 240 Nm. The new Juke also boasts Nissan’s new ALL-MODE 4x4-electronic all-wheel drive system featuring torque vectoring technology to enhance agility and reduce understeer when cornering.
Trim levels include the Visia, Acenta and Tekna. A range of additional accessories has also been developed for owners who want to personalise their Juke even further.
