The third generation Nissan Pathfinder went on sale in 2005 although previous generations were called Terrano in the UK and other European countries. The Pathfinder is a rugged sports utility vehicle or SUV as large four wheel drive vehicle are commonly called. The populaity of SUV's has increased significantly in recent year with many manufacturer's now building one. Spacification grades are Trek, Sport and topof the range Aventura which includes leather seats and dvd satellite navigation as standard. The Sport and Aventura have three rows of seats with the 2nd and 3rd row folding completely flat for a 2 metre load length.
