Nissan continues to revamp its car range with the new Nissan Qashqai. Nissan have taken a long hard look at the declining family hatchback market and growing SUV crossover market and decided to combine the two or three cars it previously sold in the shape of the discontinued Almera, Tino and Primera. Released on general sale in 2007 the Qashqai has proved a success taking car buyers away from traditional hatchbacks such as the Volkswagen Golf, Ford Focus, Vauxhall Astra and Renault Megane. At the same time cheaper productions costs mean the Nissan can tempt customers of the Toyota Rav 4, Honda CRV and Landrover Freelander into a 4wd Qashqai.
While four wheel drive versions are available the majority of vehicle sales are of its two wheel drive cars. Currently there are 4 engine choices – two diesel and two petrol. A conventional automatic and continuos variable transmission (CVT) auto gearbox are available on select models.
Trim grades in ascending order are Visia, Accenta and Tekna and whilst the Tekna offers a comprehensive equipment list, even the entry level Visia has air conditioning, alloy wheels and a cd player.

There are many practical reasons to leasing a car rather than buying one. Car leasing offers lower monthly payments, lower initial deposit, road tax and breakdown recovery. You also have the opportunity to drive a new car every two or three years and all vehicles include the standard manufacturer’s warranty.
Our leasing deals are powered by Nationwide Vehicle Contracts.
