Following the worldwide sales success of the Nissan Qashqai, Nissan released on sale a seven seat version called the Qashqai+2 in 2008. Longer and slightly taller than the standard Qashqai the +2 vehicle utilises a third row of seats accommodating two extra passengers.
The seven seat Quahqai+2 offers the same comfortable ride and dynamic drive as the standard car but with the added passenger or luggage carrying capacity. The more powerful 2.0 litre petrol and diesel engines are carried over from the 5 seat Qashqai along with either manual, conventional auto or cvt transmission, and choice of 2 or 4 wheel drive. Equipment grades are Visia, Accenta and Tekna.
The bigger +2 car competes against a host of new seven seat vehicles such as the Citroen C Crosser, Peugeot 4007, Mitsubishi Outlander and a number of MPV vehicles like the Renault Grand Scenic, VW Touran and Citroen C4 Grand Picasso.
