The 2-door 207 Coupe Convertible (CC) was launched in 2006 to replace the Peugeot 206 CC. It features a fully automatic retractable roof, which can be lowered in just 25 seconds. The styling is modern and contemporary, and a wide range of exterior colours and interior trims are available for customer personalisation. It features plenty of boot space for a car of this category, and beats it rivals like the Nissan Micra C+C, Vauxhall Tigra and Mitsubishi Colt CZC in terms of volume. The HDi diesel models form part of Peugeot’s ‘Blue Lion’ range, meaning the car is environmentally friendly, with CO2 emissions below 130g/km, and is made with parts that are 95% recyclable.
The engine range was developed jointly with the BMW group and PSA Peugeot Citroen. Three options are available with a choice of two trim levels, Sport and GT. A 1.6-litre 16-valve VTi 120bhp petrol, with 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic transmission and a manual 1.6-litre HDi 110bhp turbo diesel are available at both trim levels. The diesel features a particulate filter (FAP) to reduce carbon emissions. Also available on GT models is the 1.6-litre THP 150bhp turbo petrol engine with computer-controlled injection.
Standard features include air-conditioning, sports front seats, electric windows and a comprehensive safety package. An optional Sport Pack, standard on the GT editions, can be added, which includes tinted windows, and leather and aluminium detailing. GT also adds dual-zone climate control, rear parking aid, alarm and ESP. The 207CC boasts a five-star Euro NCAP crash test rating. Plenty of optional extras are available, including Satellite-Navigation, metallic finish and leather interior trim.
