The Peugeot RCZ is sports coupe due for release in May 2010. Originally a concept model, the RCZ is the first passenger car by Peugeot which does not use the central zero numbering system (i.e 407, 307). Its main rivals include the Renault Megane Coupe, Citroen C4 Coupe and the Mazda RX-8.
Distinctive and innovative, the new Peugeot RCZ is based on an inventive compact three-compartment coupe architecture, giving it a perfectly balanced silhouette which is both sporty and contemporary. The RCZ’s emphatic styling with its immaculate interior and efficient engine options also put the new sports coupe in a class of its own and offers drivers a totally new driving experience. The RCZ is packed with the latest Peugeot technology including an ESP, Intelligent Traction Control, Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) and an active spoiler.
Under the bonnet, the RCZ offers a choice of three high-performance engines including two petrol and one diesel units. The petrol range includes the THP 156 bhp and the THP 200 bhp engine. The HDI 163 bhp is offered as the diesel unit. All engines meet the Euro 5 emissions standards.
Trim levels include the Sport and GT. The Sport trim includes 18’’ alloy wheels, sport front seats, automatic Dual Zone Air Conditioning, rear parking aid, twin sports exhaust and mobile rear spoiler. The GT trim includes leather upholstery, electric heated seats, automatic lights, automatic windscreen wipers and front parking aid.
