The Cayman is a completely new model and was released by Porsche in 2006. It is a mid-engined, two seater sports coupe and received a positive reaction on release such that it has won numerous awards including Top Gears Sports Car of the Year. Unlike most Porsche's, it is fitted with a large rear hatchback which enables access to boot space, there is also more luggage capacity in the front under the bonnet. With its Porsche badge and renowned engineering, the Cayman is tough competition for its rivals; the BMW Z4 Coupe, Mercedes-Benz SLK and Audi TT Coupe.
The Cayman is available in standard form, with a 2.7 litre six-cylinder boxer engine with 245 BHP. The sportier Cayman S model features a 3.4 litre flat-six engine with 295 BHP and 18 inch alloy wheels. It is capable of 0-60 in just 5.4 seconds and has a top speed of 171 MPH.
