The 9-3 convertible continues a 20 year tradition of comfortable, four-seater convertibles that Saab started with the 900 back in 1986. The 9-3 Convertible features a highly insulated soft-top roof with heated glass rear window making it usable in all weather conditions. It is fast acting and can be raised or lowered in 20 seconds at speeds up to 20mph. The 9-3 is fitted with active pop-up roll-over bars which automatically spring if there is a risk of rolling over. There is also an array of airbags and ESP which have enabled it to achieve a 5-star Euro NCAP crash test rating. Rivals include the Audi A4 Cabriolet, Mercedes-Benz CLK Cabriolet and Volvo C70 Coupe Convertible.
All engines on the 9-3 Convertible use Saab's proven turbo technology to provide exceptional performance from relatively small displace engines. They start with the 1.8t petrol, other petrol engines are the 2.0t with 175 PS and 2.0T with 210 PS as well as the top spec 2.8 V6 Turbo with 280 PS. There are two diesel variants, the 1.9Tid and 1.9TTid with twin turbo technology developing 180 PS. Saab have also started to offer the 1.8t and 2.0t in Bio-power variants which can run on renewable Bioethanol. Transmission is available as either six-speed manual or Sentronic automatic in five or six-speed.
Trim levels start with the base level Linear SE, fitted with dual-zone automatic climate control; next up is the Vector Sport which features 17 inch alloy wheels and sporty interior. The top of the range is the Aero model, with 18 inch alloy wheels, bi-xenon auto-levelling headlights and performance brakes.

There are many practical reasons to leasing a car rather than buying one. Car leasing offers lower monthly payments, lower initial deposit, road tax and breakdown recovery. You also have the opportunity to drive a new car every two or three years and all vehicles include the standard manufacturer’s warranty.
Our leasing deals are powered by Nationwide Vehicle Contracts.
