The Alhambra is SEAT's largest vehicle and can seat up to seven adults. It was launched in 1995 and received a major facelift in 2000. It shares parts and technology with the Ford Galaxy and VW Sharan but tends to be better outfitted for the same price with more options. The versatile Alhambra's five rear seats are all movable for to fit any occasion and can all be easily removed for a massive van-like load space.
Engines start with the petrol 2.0 litre with 105 BHP, then there is the turbo 1.8 20VT offering 150 BHP and sporty 2.8 litre V6 with a credible 204 BHP. There are two diesel engines available, the 1.9 TDI and 2.0 TDI with 140 BHP and optional emission reducing diesel particle filter (DPF). Transmission wise, the Alhambra is available as a six-speed manual, five-speed automatic Tiptronic and Haldex Total Traction 4 with all-wheel drive transmission.
