The SEAT Leon is a range of five-door hatchbacks that was first launched in 1999, the brand new model was launched in 2005. It is based on the acclaimed Mk5 Golf platform but looks nothing like it, with a sporty and distinctive design with subtle features like integrated rear door handles to give it a coupe-like look and vertical wipers which mean a completely smooth swept back windscreen. The Seat Leon competes with other five-door hatchbacks like the Fiat Bravo, Peugeot 308 and Ford Focus.
The new Leon has a broad range of engines, from the 1.9 TDI DPF in the Ecomotive offering an impressive reduction in emissions to 119 g/km CO2 over the standard Leon, at the other end of the scale is the 2.0 litre TSI with 240 PS which can power the Leon Cupra from 0-62 in just 6.4 seconds. The rest of the petrol engines available are the 1.6 litre, 1.4 litre TSI and 2.0 litre TSI in 200 PS format. Other turbo diesel engines are the 1.9 TDI and 2.0 litre TDI with either 140 or 170 PS. Transmission options available are the five or six-speed manual, or the six-speed automatic DSG.
Trim levels start with the base model Reference at around £12,000 then there is the Emocion, frugal Ecomotive, Stylance and the more sporty models start with the Sport, FR, Cupra and Cupra K1 which is fitted with 18 inch alloy wheels, sports interior and chunky sports body kit.

There are many practical reasons to leasing a car rather than buying one. Car leasing offers lower monthly payments, lower initial deposit, road tax and breakdown recovery. You also have the opportunity to drive a new car every two or three years and all vehicles include the standard manufacturer’s warranty.
Our leasing deals are powered by Nationwide Vehicle Contracts.
