SEAT History

SEAT was formed in Spain in the 1950's and initially started with Fiat assistance and made re-badged Fiat models. The Fiat partnership ended in the 80's and during that period the Volkswagen Group purchased shares, owning 100% of SEAT by 1990. Since then ownership by VW the company has gone from strength to strength.  Its new factories are some of the most advanced in the world and the SEAT brands has been made more sporty and youthful than its Volkswagen brethren.

Seat Range

One of SEAT's most popular models is it's sporty Leon range, with its underpinnings based on the acclaimed Volkswagen Golf. The Leon range also boasts the Cupra model, one of SEAT's sportiest models ever, with race versions winning in World Touring Cars (WTCC) and British Touring Cars (BTCC).  SEAT introduced their FR range of sporty diesel models, with the Altea and Leon FR.  In 2008, the Leon became the first diesel car to win the WTCC.

Another top seller is the sporty Ibiza model, based on the VW Polo platform. It is the smallest in the SEAT range and starts at just £8995. The new Ibiza was relaunched in 2008 and has a striking new sporty style in keeping with other SEAT's. The Ibiza is available as a 5 door hatchback or the sleek three-door Sport Coupe.

SEAT MPV's

SEAT also builds some of the most popular MPV's in Europe, with the Altea being one of the top choices. It features SEAT's new sporty styling in a tidy five-door package, and if that isn't enough there is even the Altea XL which boasts extra legroom and larger boot-space. The Toledo model was also relaunched as an MPV and combines a hugely versatile load-space with its sporty exterior.  For those who need even more space, there is the Alhambra which offers seven-seats and a large, versatile interior.

Car Leasing vs Buying

Car Leasing Video DemoThere are many practical reasons to leasing a car rather than buying one. Car leasing offers lower monthly payments, lower initial deposit, road tax and breakdown recovery. You also have the opportunity to drive a new car every two or three years and all vehicles include the standard manufacturer’s warranty.

Our leasing deals are powered by Nationwide Vehicle Contracts.
