They also have a strong reputation for their legendary symmetrical All Wheel Drive system which has proved to be incredibly capable. Combined with the flat boxer engine, the layout of most Subaru's mean that the centre of gravity is low down and centralized between the front and rear wheels for impeccable balance. Subaru's are also renowned for their stringent build quality and excellent levels of safety.
Their high-quality and desirable range of AWD saloons and estates include the Legacy and Outback models. The Forester has been re-released and now is a small crossover SUV model continuing its strong off-road reputation.
Subaru also sell a small hatchback model, the Justy which offers excellent economy and low emissions in a small tidy package which features a high specification for a small price.
2006 saw Subaru enter the SUV market with their new Tribeca 4x4 fitted with their tried and tested 3.0 litre six-cylinder boxer engine.
