The Toyota Hilux is a mid-size pick-up truck first introduced in March 1968. Despite strong competition from rivals such as the Nissan Navara, Mitsubishi L200 and the Ford Ranger, the Hilux has gained a reputation for exceptional sturdiness and reliability and is often referred to as "The Indestructible Car".
The Hilux’s bold and striking exterior gives the vehicle an imposing road presence but is also very user friendly. The smart side steps allow easy access for the driver and passengers and the Hilux boasts a huge load capacity. The HL Double Cab can carry a maximum payload of 1,075 kg and has a deck length of 1,547 mm. Newly-specified rear privacy glass and reduced UV light also enhance the Hilux’s striking looks whilst improving vehicle security. Inside, the Hilux has a host of innovative features to help enhance the driving experience including cruise control, leather steering wheel and leather seats, climate control air conditioning and optitron metres.
The Hilux offers a choice of two turbodiesel engines including the 2.5 litre D-4D 144 or the 3.0 litre D-4D 170. Both engine capacities offer plentiful torque and come with a choice of five-speed manual or five-speed automatic gearboxes.
Trim levels include the HL2, HL3 or Invincible. The HL2 trim includes 16" steel wheels, electric windows, CD MP3 Audio system and manual air conditioning. The HL3 trim includes 15" alloy wheels, front fog lamps, headlamp cleaners and rear privacy glass. The Invincible trim includes 17" alloy wheels, Bluetooth connectivity, Vehicle Stability Control and chrome rear step, chrome door handles and side bars.
