The Astra Twintop is Vauxhall's mid-size coupe convertible, based on the top selling Astra underpinnings. It has an ingenious three-piece folding steel roof which can be lowered in just 26 seconds. Unlike most rivals with two piece roofs, the Twintop's roof can be folded into a smaller space meaning a larger boot area with the roof down. It also has an “Easy Load” feature, raising the roof out of the way for easy boot access. The Astra Twin-Top has a spacious interior with best-in-class shoulder and knee room. These features and modest price make it stiff competition for its rivals; the Peugeot 307 Coupé Cabriolet, Renault Megane Cabriolet and Volkswagen Eos. Safety equipment includes ABS, ESP, brake assist and active roll over protection help to keep you safe on the roads.
The Astra Twintop has three petrol engine options, the 1.6, 1.8 and 2.0 litre turbocharged. The diesel engine option is the 1.9CDTi as found on numerous other Vauxhall's. Transmission comes as either a five or six-speed manual or four-speed automatic.
Trim levels start with the Air, moving up in price to the Sport, Design and top-spec Exclusiv with 18 inch alloy wheels and optional exterior styling kit.
