The Vauxhall Insignia Tourer is a large family car engineered by Vauxhall / Opel since October 2008. Despite strong competition from rivals such as the Volvo V50, Peugeot 407 SW and Citroen C5 Tourer, the Insignia was voted 2009 European Car of the Year just one month after its launch and beat the Ford Fiesta by one vote.
The Insignia Tourer’s exterior sculptured shape is accented by a bold new grille and new-look Vauxhall badge. The sweeping front and rear signature lights lend new Insignia an unmistakable look making it easy to recognise the Insignia’s dynamic design both day and night. Inside, the new Insignia Tourer raises Vauxhall’s interior design to a new and impressive level and the striking wrap-around styling of the facia – a hallmark of new Insignia design – puts everything you need within easy reach of the driver.
The Insignia Tourer comes with a choice of five engines. All meet Euro 5 emissions standards and come with either manual or automatic six-speed transmissions. The Insignia Tourer also comes with additional driving dynamic features such as FlexRide, Driving Mode Control, Adaptive Driving and Adaptive 4X4.
Trim levels include S, Exclusiv, SE, Elite, and SRi. The Exclusiv trim includes silver-effect roof rails, front centre armrest with storage facility and 60/40 split-folding rear seat with load-through facility. The SRi trim includes 18-inch 5-twinspoke alloy wheels, front fog lights, leather-covered sports steering wheel and lowered and uprated sports suspension.
