The Volkswagen Phaeton is a full-size luxury saloon first introduced in 2002. In 2009, Volkswagen gave the exterior and interior of the Phaeton a minor facelift to better align it with competitors such as the Volvo S80, Saab 9-5 Saloon and the Audi A6 Saloon. The new Phaeton model includes new LED daytime running lights, a freshened centre console and revamped controls and materials
Built to be a leader in the luxury saloon market, the Phaeton pushes the boundaries of refinement and power. Its stylish exterior is complimented by its wide range of features including body coloured electric heated and adjustable door mirrors, headlight cleaning system and choice of three new types of alloy wheels. Inside the Phaeton, the luxurious feel continues with its 4Zone air conditioning, optional ‘sensitive’ leather comfort seats featuring massage function and 6 disc CD Autochanger with anti-shock memory which is mounted in the glove compartment.
The V6 engine in the Volkswagen Phaeton features a 5 or 6 speed Auto Triptronic gearbox and there is a choice of two diesels and one petrol. The Phaeton also features a Bosch ESP 5.7 Electronic Stability Programme, with Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), Anti-Slip Regulation (ASR) and Engine Braking Control (EBC), with emergency Brake Assist (BA).
Model choices include the V6, V6 LWB and the W12 LWB. The W12 LWB model includes heated front and rear seats, Anthracite ‘sensitive’ leather upholstery and 18" 'Innovation' alloy wheels.
