Volkswagen's smaller cars are well regarded, with the Polo and Fox (Lupo like) setting standards for quality in the super mini and city car markets. The Polo Bluemotion is setting new standards in economy with it able to achieve over 70mpg and its low emissions enable it run road tax free in the UK. VW have also started to release Bluemotion versions of their other cars which have some of the best ratings for fuel efficiency and emissions in their respective classes.
In recent years VW have entered the 4x4 market, with its Touareg sharing technology with the Audi Q7 and its new Tiguan entering the small family SUV market. Another new model for VW is the sleek new Passat CC, a coupe version of the standard Passat. VW also have their large people carrier, the Sharan with 7 seats, and its smaller sibling, the Touran.
