The Volvo C30 SportCoupe is a recent addition to the Volvo range, with striking looks that take inspiration from the classic Volvo P1800. The new C30 is aimed at the younger driver and has a level of safety that you would expect from Volvo, gaining a 5-Star Euro NCAP rating for occupant protection.
The C30 has a wide range of engine options suitable for all requirements. Petrol options come as 1.6, 1.8 and 2.0 four-cylinder engines and the sporty, turbo charged 2.5 five-cylinder. The diesel engines offer excellent economy, and come in 1.6, 1.8, 2.0 and the powerful 2.4 D5 option.
The DRIVe model featuring a 1.6 diesel option has been designed to be eco-friendly and outputs just 115g/km of CO2, meaning it falls into one of the cheapest car tax bands, costing just £35 pa. All engine options come with a model dependant five or six speed manual gearbox as standard. Automatic and Six-Speed Powershift option is available on certain models.
Trim levels come in a variety of options including S, SE, SE Lux and the R-Design. The R-Design range has been designed to impress, with sporty tailgate spoilers, front grille and bodykit on the outside and quality aluminium finish, sports pedals and gear knob on the inside.
Prices start at around £14000 making it a highly competitive option for a prestige car. There is a good level of equipment fitted as standard and a lengthy options list.
