Scandinavian car maker Volvo have been making cars since 1927, renowned for the strength and safety features, the vehicles are made to stand up to the tough climate and terrain of the country where they are designed. Conscious of being seen as slow and heavy in the past, Volvo has been making strides in making its cars more appealing by designing sporty models with more powerful engines and the look of the car could no longer be seen as being brick like with some of the best looking prestige cars available. A new 3 door Sports Hatch arrived in 2006 called the volvo C30.
Their new DRIVe series of engines and cars have been made to be as fuel efficient as possible with improved aerodynamics and wheel technology to improve CO2 emissions and reduce road tax. The DRIVe series is available on its range of family size cars, the C30, S40 Saloon and V50 Estate. It’s most famous car the V70 Estate is still a best seller in the premium Estate sector and a four wheel drive XC70 cross country model is available to buy. Not to be outdone by it’s German counterparts, a large executive Saloon called the S80 offers a suitable alternative for buyers.
