Volvo V70

The new Volvo V70 was first launched in 1996 as an evolution of the outgoing 850 estate.  A completely new design was then launched in 1999 and the current version was released in 2007.  The current design is based on the S80 saloon and shares many of the components and interior.  Whilst remaining the same size as the previous model, Volvo have managed to improve interior space for passengers as well as the cavernous boot space.  Like all Volvo's, the V70 has a multitude of safety features that have enabled it to achieve a 5-Star Euro NCAP rating.  It has also achieved a 4-Star rating for child safety thanks to the integrated child booster seats.

The V70 is one of the best selling prestige estate cars it its sector proving a match for other large estate cars such as the Saab 9-5 Estate, Volkswagen Passat Estate, BMW 5 Series and Mercedes E Class.

The V70 really lives up to its 'V' for 'Versatile' denominator and it maximized for carrying loads, with roof rails, three-split rear seats, powered tailgate and lockable underfloor storage compartments.  The V70 also has a modern, stylish interior, with up-to date options such as iPod support, rear TV's for games and films and outstanding audio facilities.

The V70's engine options include 3 diesel engines, 2 Flexifuel and 4 Petrol engines as well as five or six speed manual transmission or Geartronic automatic transmission on selected models.  The turbo diesel options are the 2.0D, 2.4D and five-cylinder D5.  Flexifuel engines can run on renewable bioethanol and are available as either the 2.0F or the five-cylinder turbo 2.5FT.  Petrol engines come as  either the 2.0, 2.5T, 3.2 or the top of the range, six-cylinder turbo T6 which has All Wheel Drive (AWD).

Trim options are limited to the SE and SE Lux and there is the option of having the R-Design sport model with sporty bodykit and sports interior.

Car Leasing vs Buying

Car Leasing Video DemoThere are many practical reasons to leasing a car rather than buying one. Car leasing offers lower monthly payments, lower initial deposit, road tax and breakdown recovery. You also have the opportunity to drive a new car every two or three years and all vehicles include the standard manufacturer’s warranty.

Our leasing deals are powered by Nationwide Vehicle Contracts.
